BATTSYS Battery's 2018 Half Year Report Highlighted Strong Performance Growth

Recently, Battsys (837375) published its 2018 semi-annual report, which shows that the company achieved significant performance growth during the reporting period. During the reporting period, the company achieved operating revenue of RMB 148,265,319.44, up 49.23% year-on-year, and net profit attributable to shareholders of the listed company of RMB 40,922,598.27, up 79.39% year-on-year.

The main reason for this growth in performance is the growth in performance of lithium batteries for the new tobacco and e-cigarette industries, as well as factors such as the increase in operating income, the increase in interest income and the decrease in accounts receivable.

Battsys has always been committed to R&D and innovation to continuously improve product performance and quality. Recently, the company has made significant progress in the fields of new soft pack lithium batteries, 3.7V lithium cobaltate system long-life lithium steel case batteries, 3.2V lithium iron phosphate long-life lithium steel case batteries and ultra-thin lithium batteries.

In terms of soft pack lithium batteries, the company has developed batteries with a capacity of over 2Ah and a high rate of over 30C, which have been validated and started mass production. This technology will also be applied to similar similar battery models for quantitative production.

In terms of 3.7V lithium cobaltate system long-life steel shell lithium batteries, the project has completed the evaluation of batch application, the performance of the battery in all aspects has reached the same level of quality as that of the development of the small pilot, and the quality of the production process procedures is reliable, stable and efficient. At present, it can be produced stably in batch.

For 3.2V lithium iron phosphate long-life steel shell lithium batteries, the multiplier cylindrical long-life battery test is in progress: the cycle life of 8C charging and 5C discharging cycles of batch manufacturing products can be stabilised at 30,000~35,000 weeks, which is far beyond the customer's target. Simultaneous application of cycle life surplus characteristics has improved the volume specific energy of the products.

In terms of ultra-thin lithium batteries, the company has developed two new battery cells: one for ACF conductive adhesive encapsulation, which can be adapted to the current new welding process for ultra-thin batteries; and the other is a more heat shock-resistant battery cell, which can still be used normally after 30S of thermal shock of 150-170℃, and the cycle life will not be significantly affected.

These R&D achievements not only further consolidate Battsys' leading position in the market, but also bring sustainable profit growth for the company. In the future, Battsys will continue to invest in the development of new products and new markets in order to maintain continuous growth in operating income and profitability.
